About this web site
The Cipherweb web site is the primary web site for the CIPHER project. The goals of the site are: to present an up-to-date front-window for the project, detailing the project's progress, achievements and current activities; to provide a clear explanation of the CIPHER project; to promote and establish an awareness of the project; and to provide information on the duration, funding and people involved in the project.
To achieve this the site is divided into the following seven sections:
- Home: The site's home page
- News: An electronic newsletter for project partners to publish news stories about their work on the project
- Overview: A description of the CIPHER project, including the project's objectives
- Contacts: A list of the people involved in the project and the means for contacting them
- CH Forums: A description of the four Cultural Heritage (CH) forums being developed during the course of the project
- Glossary: A glossary explaining any project-specific, or technical terminology used in the project
- FTP Site: A password protected document exchange site for use by the project partners
The Cipherweb web site is maintained by Eoin Kilfeather (ekilfeather@bigfoot.com) at the Dublin Institute of Technology. The FTP section of the site is maintained by Trevor Collins (t.d.collins@open.ac.uk) at The Open University, if you need to access the FTP site please email Trevor to obtain a username and password.
